30 April 2019 | Zinopy has been shortlisted in two categories of this year’s annual Tech Excellence Awards – the first time the company entered these awards. The first is Managed Security Service Provider of the Year. Zinopy is a market leader in cyber security, digital workspace solutions and managed services. Zinopy’s SIEM and SOC managed security services solution, powered by IBM QRadar, enables us to defend organisations against cyber attacks. The second is Public Sector Project of the Year in conjunction with Cork IT. After two non-malicious but important security incidents, Cork Institute of Technology needed to upgrade all security systems. After conducting research, they found that SIEM was what was needed. CIT looked for a managed SOC/SIEM service and “Zinopy came out on top”. Delivered by Zinopy’s Managed Security services team, analysts focus on the events that matter and act swiftly to defend against them. The service accurately detects and prioritises threats to CIT’s IT infrastructure. You can watch the CIT case study below to learn more about the project. The Tech Excellence Awards is Ireland’s principal badge of honour in the IT industry. It recognises excellence not only in implementing tech solutions, but also in the business of marketing and implementing technology for business. The winners will be announced at a black tie gala dinner ceremony in the Citywest Hotel on 23 May. The full shortlist is available on the Tech Excellence Awards website.read more

Zinopy, the trusted workspace virtualisation and information security specialists, is announcing the implementation and management of an advanced network solution for LeasePlan Information Services. The solution will boost performance, reliability and security for LeasePlan, all while making cost-savings. L to R: Aidan McEvoy, Sales Director, Zinopy and Lloyd Spendlove, IT Services Manager, LeasePlan Information Services Citrix network solution will boost performance, reliability and security for LeasePlan all while making cost-savings Dublin-based LeasePlan Information Services was responsible for the installation and management of the solution for over 110 branch offices in 32 countries worldwide Offices using new platform provide return on investment within 12-18 months Zinopy, the trusted workspace virtualisation and information security specialists, is announcing the implementation and management of an advanced network solution for LeasePlan Information Services. The solution will boost performance, reliability and security for LeasePlan, all while making cost-savings. LeasePlan is one of the world’s leading Car-as-a-Service companies, with over 1.8 million vehicles under management. Its Dublin-based subsidiary, LeasePlan Information Services, provides a full range of ICT services to over 110 branch offices located in 32 countries across the globe. To match the company’s growth, a challenge for LeasePlan Information Services was maintaining a stable and high-performing network capable of connecting all its locations. With customers placing an increasing importance on rich content and video, a new approach was needed. Zinopy, LeasePlan Information Services’ long-standing strategic partner, encouraged LeasePlan to adopt Citrix’s NetScaler Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) as a solution to this challenge. As Ireland’s leading Citrix Platinum Solution Specialist, Zinopy was uniquely placed to deploy the new network solution across LeasePlan’s branch offices. Within the next 18 months, Zinopy will implement this new solution in all 110 of LeasePlan branch offices. This will cut both maintenance and installation costs for the company. LeasePlan has seen a return on investment within 12-18 months in locations connected via SD-WAN, and expects further cost-savings in these offices compared to the legacy solution. The upgrade has also improved availability and security for LeasePlan. SD-WAN uses multiple circuits, from the public internet to 4G, ensuring that should any network link fail, the remaining paths will guarantee that clients experience zero loss of service. Citrix NetScaler SD-WAN provides an additional layer of security through an in-built firewall and combined with a Secure Web Gateway solution, such as zScaler, provides secure local breakout to the Internet and cloud services. Lloyd Spendlove, IT Services Manager at LeasePlan Information Services, said: “LeasePlan and Zinopy have developed a strong and successful relationship over more than ten years. We were fully confident in Zinopy’s ability to deliver the solution, and have found the upgrade to be a great success. Our team is responsible for ensuring every one of our users has reliable access to the applications they require to work effectively. With SD-WAN, users never have to worry about outages or performance issues”. Aidan McEvoy, Sales Director at Zinopy Limited, said: “As a strategic partner, it makes a huge difference when working with a company as progressive as LeasePlan. The company has proved itself to be a bold early adopter of this technology, and this underlines an aggressive move to the Cloud. We are delighted with the continued growth of LeasePlan, and its forward-looking perspective is an indicator of the strength of the company’s ambition.”read more
